Carver introduces first Dutch electric amphibious vehicle

The electric city vehicle manufacturer Carver introduces the first Dutch amphibious vehicle. The Dutch boating season officially opens on Thursday and water sport enthusiasts will be able to see a special ‘boat’ passing by in the city canals.

NOTE: This was an April 1st joke 🙂

With the AquaCarver, Carver has a scoop: it is the first amphibious vehicle developed and produced in the Netherlands. The new model is designed to safely cover distances on waterways. “The roads are becoming more and more congested and we receive many questions about this. At Carver, we always want to be ahead of the game. That gave us the motivation to further develop our Carver and make it even more versatile” says Chris van den Brink, CTO and co-founder of Carver.

So, in addition to the Carver and the Cargo introduced in 2020, there is now a third model in the e-mobility pioneer’s range. The electric amphibious vehicle is fully certified as a water scooter. Its cruising speed is limited to 20 km/h, so it can be used on the water without a licence. This way, the user can always drive via the fastest route to the destination.

In the future, the LEV manufacturer would also like to launch the Cargo as an amphibious version. The AquaCargo is intended to make urban logistics in busy inner cities even easier by bypassing roads completely whenever possible. The AquaCarver is for sale from €14,995.
