Frequently asked
When do I get charged?
Only when a link is clicked and you have a payment method connected. Free users can create unlimited links — tracking is unlocked when you add a card.
What happens to links that aren't clicked?
Links not clicked in 30 days are automatically deleted to keep storage lean. Paid users' links are exempt from this expiry.
Is there a minimum charge?
Charges accumulate until they reach $1.00, then your card is billed. You won't be charged fractions of a cent.
Can I use the API without paying?
Yes. API key creation, link creation, and redirects are all free. Analytics endpoints require a paid plan.
How do I connect my payment method?
From your dashboard, click 'Connect payment' to go through the Polar.sh checkout. Takes under a minute.
Can I set a click budget?
You can set a click_limit per link. Once reached, the link stops redirecting. This gives you cost control per campaign.
